The game utilizes the World of Darkness Storyteller System, functioning mainly within the Mage: The Ascension and Changeling: The Dreaming lines.  Like any other roleplaying game, The Rosewar Chronicle finds inspiration from the other gaming lines as well and therefore will include those as needed for plot development.  The group which acts out the complex scenario that is The Rosewar Chronicle meets once or twice a month in person.  The date is always mutually reached, and if anyone is unable to attend, arrangements are made to accommodate such an occurrence. Various means are used to further the game such as email and other online mediums.

The game focuses on the evolution of the players' characters as they search for the reason for the death of a mysterious emissary.  Their pursuit of answers to why the emissary perished leads them along many path, scattering them in many directions.  The answers they find lead them deep into the heart of a web of deceit and corruption from which they cannot emerge entirely unscathed.  The end of innocence and the start of responsibility are crucial themes to the journey.  The path chosen will have the players' characters touch the heart of magic and return transformed with the wisdom of the whole experience.

If you would like to be a player in The Rosewar Chronicle, you must:

If you fit this list of criteria, and you desire to join us in our mayhem, don't hesitate to email the Storyteller at paeryn@windchilde.com.   However, our group is presently up to seven players, so you might need to be a tad bit creative to actually join.  Please realize this doesn't mean we don't want to hear from you, it just means the group is kind of large and any additional players may cause our Storyteller to give himself a lobotomy, and however amusing that may be to some us, none of the players truly want to have to discover how to do a real Vulcan mindmeld to learn what was planned for their characters.   (Not to mention, none of us would want to explain to his family why he did it!)
